We Stand, Money Falls

We Stand, Money Falls

Describe your work and why you think it could inspire people to act on this issue.

Inspired by an iconic photo, this image depicts Americans working together against our biggest obstacle to democratic government - getting big money out. As bought-and-paid-for 'leaders' can only to look on, cooperative citizens of all stripes show that people united have more power than paper.

What do you think is the biggest issue of money in politics today?

Big, anonymous money only makes for corrupt government and a rigged system.

I love how you re-engaged this moment by using middle class Americans - plus, BRILLIANT idea of the capitol building for sale with the bar code!

Thanks so much denise! I'm glad you like it, and to know that some of the main concepts read well (btw, the number in the bar code represents the estimated cost for the 2012 elections, in billions). I'm also curious as to whether you get any secondary impressions from the American flag?

You're welcome! To me, the money is being brought down by the people and the flag is on the rise - that's how it feels. About the bar code #'s - I wondered what significance the numbers were - and the cost of this year's elections makes perfect sense!
